Defining “Dry Weight”

Hydronautstarted grow question 3 years ago
What is dry weight considered for GD? Any general consensus? Seems subjective and I hate trimming bud and cut off the good stuff and toss larf and not so sexy buds in the trash. It’s usable but I have no need for most of my harvests and tend to grab the high end jewelry and run.

I record buds only in the diary results and buds + trim in my notes as I use both for edibles and extracts. But I may change this as its all useful and some people out right lie so its not like it matters. Good Luck!

yo why putting stuff in trash? Just call over some weed fellas to trim your harvest and let them get all those "unnecessary" stuff. make your people happy and it'll be a fair deal. or just mess around making edibles of any kind. I hate trimming too, I just create the ambiance for bros and they all quickly learned how to trim lol hungry bastards

I guess I was asking was if usuable bud should be included in dry weight. I take tops and the really good stuff and toss just as much in the shit can. Even mediocre buds. Don’t have the time to mess with harvests, barely have the time to keep up with a diary. I want my diaries to reflect what is generally accepted as dry weight. I toss a-lot of decent or useable bud. This grow had 4-5 oz of it easily.

I wouldn't worry about it... it's your diary anyway. once the weight is consistent (enough) it is a dry weight. it'll vary based on RH and temps, so if you keep that consistent and the weight remains consistent, it is at equiibrium with its environment.
