Topping In Tiny Places

I’ve been topping my autos in a 3.8 sf stealth cabinet religiously at the 20ish day. In hydro that is around node 6-7. Would topping earlier giving the speed of growth that hydro provides, say at 3-4 node, make the plant less bushy and easier to manage? Ideas for tiny places?

The sooner you top the sooner they recover. If it's a healthy plant I try to top above the second node around day 10 or 12. I dont know why people top at higher nodes. You get too many branches trying to fight for space. I usually end up with around 30 tops from topping once.

I can’t speak to autos specifically.. but I like topping earlier/ lower. I shoot for 2-3 nodes or 4-6 branches.. then tie down and let them new growths from each branch grow upwards.. with photos i usually top again the top node, allowing lower branches to grow laterally and up to meet the others.
Hard to describe, but yes. Topping at 6-7 and allowing those to grow out is gonna give you a bush..

New nodes after topping very small, should I top more?I topped my plants a few days ago, but just the tips when the side nodes where just as little as a few mm. I've seen a lot of you topping like a whole bunch of the top. I mainlined my plants but I dont know if I should top them again so the nodes under the top become main nodes.

Are those nutrient defficiencies? Which ones?A plant had interveinal chlorosis on new leaves and then proceeded to show brown patches between veins on middle leaves. Another has coppery brown spots on leaf edges on the middle of the plant. Both were rootbound in living soil (peat/perlite/hummus + ammendments).

Topping techinque: 4 main colasI'm approaching topping for the first time. The aim is to get 4 main colas, without FIM. The intention is to cut at the 3rd node (cut C) in order to develop the branches of nodes 2 and 3 as main ones. Does this make sense? Has anyone already had any experience with this?
