Hi, im new indoor/hydroponics. I use Adv Hydro Holland full products Lot of people say use the guidelines to give nut to plants BUT, ppm had a target in different times (seedling, veg, bloom). If I follow the guideline it's impossible to achieve that target level.. how ?

And if your tap water is 300 PPM- subtract 300 from what your meter says when mixing nutes. Our tap water here is often worse than that, and we ignore starting point of the water. If bottle says 2.5 mls per ltr = 700 PPM then I add that to my water and use it. If I measured it, it would read 1000PPM or more, So in hydro we adjust a bit for that but not really needed. I dont anyways. lols. The minerals in your tap water are just that- minerals and a few trace salts. There is no N-P-K in any useful amounts in tap water so you can adjust a bit to compensate if you want, but its mostly calcium carbonate and a few other minerals in tap water- so dont worry so much ok. Its all good as long as the plants are happy screw what the bottle says.

The feeding charts are a GUIDE. Every plant is slightly diff. Some love feedings and some respond BADLY to heavy feedings. So remember charts are a guide to start at and dial it in yourself after that. I've had plants that didnt mind a heavy feeding once a week or even longer, while others looked worse after a heavy feeding and needed half strength feedings more often. I generally use half strength nutes or even a bit weaker during veg, and its how often I feed I tweak based on how the plants look. In bloom I may go up to 75% strength if the plant looks like it needs it, but again id rather just give it two weak feedings than one strong one. Most plants respond better that way ive found. 2.5 mls per ltr gives me 700 PPM thats half strength solution. If I use 1400PPM my plants go way too green and i can use that strength once MAYBE twice if the strain is a heavy feeder but usually the second heavy feed gives me nute burn on the leave tips and im sure it causes some kind of lock out too. In your sito- dont worry if its not exactly the PPM u want, as long as its not too high the plants should be fine if its a bit low. Plants in veg until they are 6 weeks old really dont need that much nutes at all to survive, and until flower they are generally not heavy feeders either. Aim for 50-90% of suggested PPM and tweak as needed. Start low and if plants are growing slow or look pale- up the strength of the nutes.

Hi gmsalve thx for answer :) Ok, that theory is what I do. But i don't understand. Lot of people with this nut follow the guidelines. If I use the correct amount of ml the ppm are very very down in comparison of the Values... Using Osmotic water i have 0ppm at begin.. the values you told me consider the starting point of 0ppm or maybe a 200 (standard in europe for home water) ? sory.. it's crisis.. I'm starting second grow and I don't want to make stupid errors :)

This is a hydroponic or a soiless feed chart. Make sure you ph your water at 5.8 for veg, check everyday. Feed chart for photos. Day their born, 400 ppm, 0.8 ec. See good growth that week up to 500 ppm, 1.0 ec. Next week and you see good growth, 600ppm 1.2ec Every week you increase 100 ppm if your seeing good growth. If your not seeing good growth then stay with that amount an extra week. Stop increasing when hit 800 ppm, 1.6 ec. Only give more if you see they really need. Soilless recovers or goes bad very quickly.. If their autos start at 200 ppm from sprout and work your way to 600 to 650 ppm. Keep your water cool with frozen water bottles around and inside your rez if you have one..Clean your buckets once a week or 2 If this is an auto flower your ppm at 2 weeks old should be 350 ppm 5.8 ph. Stay with that until you see improvement , then start upping her feed by 100 ppm a week

I use osmotic water (0 ppm) and to have 300ppm (to start) i need to use a lot more than 1ml to liter (as the guideline say)
