That depends on how you define "better". Main lining does not produce the highest yield but it can produce a lot of nice big buds of about the same size and few or no popcorn. It also extends the veg time needed which can be a problem in northern climates where summer is shorter.

I would main line it. Especially if you have neighbors. They can get tall outdoors. Plus a good main line will provide a lot moreo bud sites and flower I end.

Trim "armpit" branches?Growing mainline and wondering about trimming the new branches so bud growth is focused on main stalks. When to flip a mainline grow?My grow is far from perfect, but ideally, when is a mainlined plant good to start flowering to get a large yeild? Just moved mine to finishing containers, pretty stalky, but not a lot of leaves due to method. Worried it would impede growth.
