Benzelsanswered grow question 3 years ago If you got the time, then there is no such thing as too much training. Plants do take time to bounce back from heavy training so keep in mind your eventually going to hit the point where the time spent training doesnt get a positive return on time invested in the plant with final yield. What I mean is, just say you pull 10 oz from that plant after 60 days training it and 65-70 days in flower...
Now if you trained the plant a diff way and only grew it for 40 days in veg and 65-70 days in flower and got 10 Oz yield...well why are you training it the way you are?? If you topped her twice or even 3 times, you would get a similar bushy plant, and it may be faster for same yield. Food for thought. Each day your spending money on power so make sure ur spending each day wisely.
In saying that- Im a huge fan of training the hell out of some plants instead of topping 3 times and maybe tying down a few main branches. U can make more effective use of a small space this way too, as well as some strains respond better to LST over topping. Outdoors where I dont pay for light, I have no issues training a plant for 90 days before flowering for 70 odd days either but inside id be trying to get my plants into flower after no more than 40 days of veg if possible just to make better return on investment.
If plants growth is a bit slow, but it looks healthy, maybe try dropping the light 1-2 inches lower- it will help more than anything else if the plants can take it. U could go as much as 4 inches lower, but id suggest go 1-2 inches this week and see how they go and maybe 1-2 inches next week if they look fine after first lowering.
