Hey buddy. I agree with you, u need to do some defol. It's not a optimal window to do defol in but you'll get away with it. Blindly no no. What you wanna do, is grab a node and do it node by node. Each bud site on the node will have around 3/4 sugar leafs/fan leafs. What you wanna do is go round it and take 1/3 -1/2 stick to more to the 1/3 of fan leafs. Focus mainly around the top and leave allall fan leafs sugar leafs that are at the end and aren't blocking any light. If it's not blocking any light then there is no reason for you to take it. Main reason to defol is to get light to reach the lowest ends of your canopy so there is no need nor call to defol leafs that aren't blocking out light or if you can get away with leaf tucking do so. If u want a more detailed or help in any way feel free to DM me. Good luck.

Just remember - less leaves = less energy being made = less growth. Lollipopping is a good idea though, but not essential.

growdiaries.com/journal/is-it-safe-to-defoliate-cannabis growdiaries.com/journal/defoliating-cannabis-the-best-method-to-increase-yields take this guys articles with a grain of salt. some of his most recent ones have had some questionable information in them. I think some defoliation could help you increase airflow in the lower branches, will also help prevent WPM later on in flower. When I defoliate I look at the leafe and see if its blocking a bud site if it is. Bend it out of the way. if not room to bend pluck it off. Try to only remove large fan leaves when doing this. and don't remove more then 1/3rd of the plants leaves as it will be to much shock. Not all plants like this done to them and some can go into shock. Lollipopping is a form of defoliation where you strip all branches and leaves from the stalk after a point in height is reached in the canopy. Normally just under the fully filled scrog net. I did this with my grows and it worked out well for me. autos should not be lolipopped from my understanding, just photoperiods. Good Luck!

I would do a heavy defoliation now and then let them grow. Maybe three weeks before planned end a light defoliation again.
