When growing in decent soil with good pH and using proper cannabis nutrients, I only ever give two or three doses of cal/mag during early flowering as a "preventative" and never seem to suffer any deficiencies of cal/mag.
I do however add blood and bone meal to my soil mix, which is a good source of calcium and also add volcanic rock dust, which is loaded with trace elements and also has good amounts of magnesium and silica.
Cal/mag supplemental feeding is far more essential when growing in coco coir, it seems to bind them up and make it difficult for the plant to access them.
I would suggest that giving extra cal/mag every 2-3 weeks would be more than enough in decent soil.
Hope this helps, Organoman.
