Should I defoliate or not? Stunted auto

Basically at the end of week 3 of flower. Question is, to defoliate or not to defoliate? She’s stunted by about 2 weeks already and I don’t think she’s going to stretch anymore… would she benefit from a light defoliation? A heavy one? Or would it be better to avoid it altogether?

hey there Dr Jones, unfortunately pruning the leafs off at this stage wont help it grow, it has all the leafs it needs to make flowers as it is. Remember that right now the plant is already making leafs as well as the tent gets much brighter when you close it than when it's open , there's hardly any shade there because the plant already has the correct shape (shape of a bush) . So roll with the punches and ride to the harvest. Hope this helps ! 🚀

Hi Dr. Jones,
For what I've learned so far when the plant stops stretching it will start growing the buds. First the buds get "taller" then they start to get fat.
As the plant is I don't think you have many leaves being wasted. (as in not working the light or in the shade).
Only reason I would defoliate at this point would be if there's a problem controlling humidity in grow tent.

No, If anything you could LST the 2 main branches out more so they give more light to the inner section.
Just be careful not to break them off. As you pull out they will have a lot of stress on the main stem connection.

You are asking question and giving answer. If any person is sick or unhealthy , he don't go to work or do workouts ...
If she is stunned, leave her full. She is too small, doubt you benefit a lot.
Those techniques are for commercial grows or big plants.
It's not a highway to big harvest.

Plant get it's energy from the leaves, defoliation is rarely a good idea but removing a very few leaves to expose some lower buds site.
