To prune or not to prune?

I've been getting mixed opinions on pruning at this stage. Should I remove the bottom most baby leaves of my plant? This is Day 21 of an Auto. Should I be removing the most bottom set of fan leaves? Should I wait? Should I leave em? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

At the moment your plant is doing fine. Personally I wouldn't remove anything yet as nothing is blocking light to other parts of the plant. In about a week to 2 weeks time when growth explodes is the time I would remove a few of the older leaves.

Ha, I like this question. You will Always get a mixed review on this, because it is preference really. But I'll share a little of my knowledge. Typically when you trim the sides or lower of a bush it will grow taller, if you chop the top it will grow wider. Knowing that. When the plant is young like yours, I remove a lower and a top set. Let the plant recover then remove the middle and top set. You will see the plant grow in both directions.

Why remove perfectly healthy leaves for no reason? Just remember - Less leaves = less energy being made = less growth. It really is that simple! Besides, if your plant would not need those leaves, it would not grow them in the first place!

hey there Jigglebudz , try pruning sure, go for the oldest leafs first, there's a technique to keep the autos in veg by pruning all five finger leafs, you can try that for yourself, usually as long as the five finger leafs havent appeared yet you can go ahead and prune but once they start appearing you really shouldnt. thing is i think your plant is young enough even though it already has 5 fingered leafs. Catch them just as they start splitting into five for best results. hope this helps ! 🚀
