How do you know or choose the right Ec for each phase of the plant? or how much to raise it in each irrigation? My range is usually from 0.2 to 1.2 ... it depends on the strain. Do you think it is more important to know the strain than to follow a table of nutes? Thank you!

It is something you dial for your own system. More light power will result in plants that need more nutrients to power a more aggressive growth and so my schedule might not work for you. It requires a bit of experimentation on your part. It is more important to learn to read the plant. I try to keep the EC as low as I can and only up it when I spot some deficiency. As for how much to up it each step, usually I rise it no more than 20% at a time.

For young marijuana plants has an EC value of 1.2 till 1.5 mS, and all the way up until 3.0 mS for adult plants. If the natural EC of your tap water is based on an average EC of 0.4/0.5 mS that difference in EC has to be accounted for when you measure the nutrient solution. Does that make sense ? Hope this helps ! 🚀
