Will it hurt if you Decapitate the leaves between the flowers?

Brother Grower, I see your grow has a problem that definitely needs quick resolution on your part. You’re over-fertilizing your grow because I see that dark green which means for sure, along with the deformation of the crown leaves and some that look droopy behind the first photo you posted of a guide leaf (the largest and oldest), something tells me from my experience that you’re giving them either too much nitrogen or phosphorus. I would try to avoid defoliating at this moment, do a preventive flush that’s not too aggressive, and if you have Flexapot pots with Velcro that will allow you to run water, for example, in your bathtub at home, as I said, run about 4 to 5 liters over your soil (you have soil, or are you planting in coco or something like that). After the preventive flush and seeing the reaction in the first 5 days, I would combat the 'overfert' with a good plan of mycorrhizae - I’ll give you a tip and see if you can order them online as soon as possible, a new brand on the market called Mycoterra has two products that would work wonderfully for you and would act very effectively and in a very integrated and quick way, if we can resolve it as best as possible. That brand has a root catalyst called Pandora and another one called Kraken which are Glomus Iranicus bacteria...that will boost your roots in about 20 days and allow you to properly integrate the nutrients into the plant, because the flush will leave your soil flat and after your plant is detoxified, you’ll need the nutrient supply to be effective and without overloading it again. The 'million-dollar question' would be if your grow will be in almost flowering (is the grow autoflowering or photoperiod?!?), like 15 to 20 days to recover without affecting your potential harvest??? If you see you have at least 7 weeks minimum until harvest, I recommend the flush, order the mycorrhizae immediately, and I would suggest not to hit it hard with organic fertilizers and to use a very limited amount of mineral fertilizer PK 13 14 with great care, once a week, and gradually increase the dose - try watering with half a liter (due to the summer heat) every day and every three days add about 0.2 ml/half a liter and every six days increase by 0.1 ml of PK 13 14 to that half a liter, until you have the trichomes ready and can harvest. At that moment, you do the final flush, but from what I see, and from the phase you’re in, you’ll end up paying the price for the over-fertilization you’re in now...it’s come at a very bad time. Ich würde mich definitiv der Aussage von NobodysBuds anschließen. Klasse erläutert! Deine Pflanze kämpft zur Zeit mit anderen Problemen. Entlauben würde die Situation lediglich verschärfen. Es würde sie nur noch mehr stressen. Und deine pflanze ist im aktuellen Zustand sehr anfällig für Krankheiten. Ein entferntes Blatt ist immer eine offene Wunde. Da ist sie dann um so anfälliger für Schimmel😅

always have a good reason and it will guide you. congestion is a good reason. like someone else said, looks like a little high in N or some other nutrient. removing leaves will only exacerbate such a problem (ignoring all other factors... that could be more pressing etc). Removing storage capability will only make a current overfeeding context worse. less is more... leaves power growth. they can also be vectors for disease in less optimal conditions... the answer is always, "maybe?" the extra leafiness could be from a lack of inernode length due to a bit too intense light near end of vege growth, too... impossible to know for sure given the information above... excess N can cause excess leaf growth too, i believe? so, if it is only on the top cola, i'd lean toward the previous more than the latter.

There are those that feel you should never ever defoliate - but I'm not one of them... From the pictures, I think you've got a good case for some selective defoliation and I would encourage you... just start off doing a SMALL amount of trimming - then wait a day or two to see if the plant reacts to it negatively... if not, you can do a little bit more - but always wait to see what the reaction is...
