I need an alternative to air compressor/air stones for DWC. I've heard of O2 emitters and hydrogen peroxide and wanted to know if anyone has tried them? Air stones are just too effin noisy!

You have to spend money to get a good air pump. Those vivosun and other brands "commercial" pumps on amazon are loud, hot and plain shit. Those pumps are only good if you can put your grow 50 feet from any inhabitable space and keep your pump cool. The only solution I found is this pump. Expensive, but I can sleep next to my tents. https://hydrobuilder.com/general-hydroponics-dual-diaphragm-air-pump.html Maybe you can setup something to have a "waterfall" or create something to spray the roots like a cloner would. But yea, I can't hear my pumps hanging in my tent over my ceiling fan. good luck figuring it out.

OOO I thought that was just me. My stone broke too. Ah I'm having a terrible time with DWC my temps are silly. 25+ sometimes 27. I cut all the roots off and it has seemed to hold away the root rot with no hydro or h202. Can't wait to get my AC unit. More money on the electricity starts to add up with the dehumidifier running 6-10 hrs a day. 2 intake 4 hot led drivers 3x100 1x300 it gets hot like 32c and I live in a country where well but it this was. Our ppl tend to be the color of this background. But ye. You'll get a silent air bubber on amazon. The ones I got with my tanks my neighbour jokingly said in passing did my bird leave your thingie on, and I was like wtf is he talking about and it clicked. Cheeky bustard. 🤣 funny though.

This may seem low tech but I found it worked well. I was keeping my tanks water fresh using a 2 air stone setup. Nice and bubbly but noisy. I recently made a new mix and wanted to clean the stones I tried to remove the air pipe and the stone broke! On both stones too! I couldn't get to the shop so as a temp idea I took 2 stainless steel large spoons and I ran the pipe down the handle with the end in the spoon. I then used a cable tie to keep it fixed on the 2 air pipes. Then dropped them in. Instead of small air bubbles you get big bubbles and the noise is quieter and nicer :) like a babbling brook. I should say this was in my mix tank not for DWC so I don't know if the bubbles needed are different etc. I just need movement and airation as secondary. But may help someone :)

Them things are the best. But very expensive. The oldest model is 250$ and only has a shelf life of 1600hrs. But if you don't mind spending the money they would be the best way to go as they make no noise. Look for a fish take Air Pump and look at the reviews on amazon and you'll see ppl comment, lots of reviews on products on amazon so any issues you'll know straight away. And it beats spending all that money.

Never herd of using H202 as oxygen. If you want silent this product seems to fit the bill. More expensive but near silent. https://o2grow.com/ Try hanging your pump by its power chord. Or even better hang it by an elastic. Also make sure your airstone so it is not touching the bucket.

Hmmm. Okay, what is your prob is it the vibrations? Mine were driving me crazy and I found a dual air pump on amazon that's quiet as a mouse only time I ever hear it if its pressed up against something then I hear the vibrations.. And hydro is just for bacteria and that you still need a source of o2.
