Yeah, you want to get rid of the ants as they can do damage to the root system. Easiest way to do this is by sprinkling some diatomaceous earth on top of your soil... as the ants crawl across it, it actually cuts them and they die pretty quickly (I use this to kill fleas or ticks or any other crawly, jumpy thing in my house - it's organic although some people are affected if they breathe it in). ants farm other pests they carry aphids onto the plants and defend them againts predators and such. ants are the biggest assholes on the planet. sadly there isnt much you can do to combat them especially when there is a smokeable plant in the mix. one option is pyrethrum daisies if you can get these somehow you can pulverize and sprinkle the dust around and inside the nest. you can also do DE or mix them both together. other than these i dont see any other options. if you see them on the plants in great numbers that means theyre farming and i’d check those plants all over daily to see if theyre farming or not..

At this late stage I wouldn't worry about it, the ants won't do much.
