Springtails in Waste water CoCo

beardstarted grow question 2 years ago
Hi all, I have just watered my almost 3 week old plants, they are in coco, and I collect the waste water to measure my PH values. To my great surprise I saw something moving in my waste water (see photo). I did some searching on the internet and found that they are springtails.

bro,you don't need to do anything. just let them be. they do no harm,in the contrary they are quite helpful to the plants.those white ones eat some stuff and make it useful to the plant, springtails are actually a good sign of a healthy root system. no vinegar,no neem oil,no bullshit, don't listen to internet theories, just follow the real practices. they are your friends, unlike many other bugs.you'll see them reduce in number when you get closer to harvest.

Vinegar will kill them off, and I believe neem oil will as well. They are feeding on the bacteria, and fungi in the coco. I grow in coco as well. Just maintain the right ph run off when finished treating. Should be at a 5.8 to 5.9 at current stage. Need any more help feel free to direct message me 🤜🤛🌱 good luck
