Really, more clone crap again. Anyways. It all depends how you like your bud. And if the plant is more a sativa then you can harvest a little early for a more head high and the longer you leave it to cook. (The more cloudy the trichomes) the more indica she'll tend to lean. So if she's a full indica and that's what you like then harvest when she's fully cloudy to get the best affect that suits you. But if she lands more on the sativa side, and that's what you like harvest at 85-90% cloudy and you want a 10-15 cloudy Ambers (pistils, that's all the hairs) they count also for how you cook your bud. The more Amber the more couch lock affects you'll have things like that.. You want to prolong the drying time for as long as you can to increase the terps/taste and so on. As cool as a place you can find mid summer I know, but try not let the temp be above 25c as you have evaporation at that temo and you'll lose a lot of strength. Happy harvesting.

Crimsonecho is hilarious here! Trichomes are trichomes, no matter whether they form on autoflowers or photoperiods... what a bunch of nonsense he's spewing!

of course growing grannies advice only applies to photoperiods and when grown from clones and not autos and/or seed runs because every seed is a different genotype thus they’ll not mature exactly alike and will not gonna provide exactly the same effects etc etc. so grow photos and keep clones is what she is trying to say i guess :) also you can always take a tester nug from mids dry it fast in front of a fan smoke a joint and decide if you like the effects or not. another tip is to only check trichomes on the actual calyxes and not sugar leaves. those are gonna get trimmed anyway so focus on the trichs on your calyxes.

Completely depends on what you want from your smoke.... "normal" is when the trichs have started to transition from clear to cloudy but before they start to become amber - this gives a a rounded and enjoyable high, neither too heavy nor too cerebral. "Late" harvesting - when trichs are amber - will give you more resin and a heavier sedation effect... but timing is crucial as this runs the risk of the THC content degrading. It also depends a lot on the strain you're growing.... Best advice is to test your grow to see what YOU like... harvest some early, harvest some at the "normal" time, and harvest some late... then, when you grow the strain again, you'll know what worked best for YOU... Good luck!

It really depends what kind of buzz you want when you smoke it I harvest when all trichomes are cloudy/milky and 20% orange
