flushing only impacts the rootzone. A few steps between as far as that impact on the plant. It has no excretion system, so what's in the plant cannot be 'flushed out.' It just has to use what has been stored over time. If there is a toxicity, diluting the rootzone is a good first step, but if no toxicity exists, there's no reason for it and will only have a slowing effect on anything the plant is doing, including ripening.
Looks like there is still some plumping left. 7? 10? 14? you'll find out soon enough.
Some magnification is useful. I start scoping trichomes after the calyxes are visibly and fully plump. No point in looking before that point. don't look at trichomes on leaves.
