Hi I have a question a bit stupid I think 😅but I have problems with heat in my tent. So I wonder if I put a air conditioner out side of the tent it's a little rom i have it in. Will it help if I lower the temp in the tent then? Make sense🤔??

Yes, it will help. I’m doing exactly the same thing. Portable AC blowing the hot air outside through the sealed window, and the temp inside the room and the box are 2-3 degrees lower than with no AC. Also it helps me to fight excessive humidity. I can’t imagine what could I do without AC.

An air conditioner operating in a sealed room will heat the room. All the electricity consumed will be converted to heat. You need your air conditioner to discharge it's hot air OUTSIDE the room. You can use a window air conditioner to lower the temp in the room. If you don't have a window you can install it in a wall to another room but it must exhaust out of the room you want to cool. In that situation the grow room will be cooled and the other room will get all the heat. Portable air conditioners are convenient but more expensive than a window unit. If looking at portable units ONLY get a two hose model. They are MUCH more efficient and actually work. Single hose models blow their hot air out of the room which creates a vacuum which draws in hot outside air so most of your electricity is wasted and you get poor cooling performance.

it's the only effective way to lower temps. evaporative coolers don't do much. So, look at what the temp is inside tent relative to ambient temp i nthe room... that difference will probably remain similar unless you directly pump cold air into tent... use that current difference to pick a good temp for your AC. *tent target temp + difference from ambient.

Yeah. I have the very same issue. Hitting 30c in my room. I don't have AC but a big ass powerful fan with 10m of ducting to bring in cool air. Even with RH I find it better to use my dehumidifier. Cause if you have an intake on you are only drawing in the environment for outside so it's best to do your grow room and set up the exhaust and open a vent in the lower end of your tent. Good luck.

Yes that will help, but it will also drop your humidity too. AC's dry out the air. If you can, you can also try running ducts into a nearby room to act as a lung room to pull cool air from somewhere away from the tent.
