Yes they do, basically all LED's lights eventually, LEDs are long-life light sources which generally do not suddenly fail, but gradually lose their brightness and performance over time. LED grow lights typically last for 50,000 hours or more. Happy Growing ♥️

Yes, all LED's loose intensity with use. How much and how fast they loose it depends partially on how hard the emitters are driven. If pushed hard they degrade faster than if they are run at less than maximum.

every led loses intensity over time and the hotter they run the bigger and faster the loss. typically leds lifespan is between 50000-80000hrs that means it’ll drop down to 80% of its original output by that time but i seriously suspect lights such as sf, mars and vipar etc reach that 80% way sooner as they run fucking hot when driven at 100% power.

Technically, yes; not enough to affect you yet. LEDs illuminate using a semiconductor. So instead of just instantly burning out like traditional bulbs, LED lights age over time and progressively get dimmer until they stop working altogether. However, most lights have a useful life span where the LED degradation does not affect overall output. Check your specific light webpage under the spec section and look for lifetime. Should tell you how much hours the light is expected to last. For example, the Spider Farmer®️ SE1000W has a rated Lifetime of 50000H which is approximately 5.5 years of ~continuous~ use.

Usually LEDs dont suffer from degradation as HPS or LEC lightning but high intensive enviroment (growing) and heat degrade for sure the led lifespan but dont worry about this, the leds for growing usually are well isolated from humidity and have well heat dissipation so they will be running fine for 10 years more or less, is common to have electrical failure before a broken diode.
