This honestly doesn't look like sun-chasing to me... especially when you say the stem is soft (and it LOOKS soft ... TOO soft). This might be a pest (I was thinking initially of some kind of borer that's gotten into the stem so look for signs of that)... but it also might simply be lack of good air flow - however that, to me, doesn't make much sense either since we're talking only the very tip of your plant which should have the BEST air flow... in the end, I would look for signs of pests and grab some Dr. Zymes (https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07V2ZXN62?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details) if you think or even suspect you've got a bug problem..
