Drying. You want to figure out if you're going to wet trim or dry trim (I like wet trim myself as dry trim knocks too much off my buds and I don't actually do anything with the trim). You want to dry as slowly as you can without risking bud rot... lots of folks will chop the entire plant and hang it upside down to dry... I cut off individual stems and trim the buds that are on them then hang the stem... that way, I can actually let the lower buds ripen a little bit more before chopping them. You're going to want the space they're drying in to be completely dark with a fan that doesn't blow air ON the harvest but just moves the air around gently. If it blows on the harvest itself, it may dry too quickly but having air movement will hopefully eliminate the risk of any bud rot. An unsued tent is ideal for this if you have one... just string up some lines and start hanging them. You want to also try to maintain a temperature of 60-degrees F and a humidity of 60% ... How long it will take will depend on how dense your buds are. Check them after 3 days or so by gently pinching them... you can also try to snap a bud off the stem - if it snaps easily, it's ready for curing... if it doesn't, it needs more time drying. I'm told you want to TRY for a 7-day drying time but honestly, I've only ever managed that once and find that it really REALLY depends on the density of your buds... my sativa, which are much less dense than indica, dried in about 3 days... Good luck!
