Thank you guys for your help so far. But one of the issues I'm facing is legality. It's very much in the grey area. But since its being done for academic reasons, it's not attracting much attention. I hope to eventually do my part in legalisation in our country over time, my research being one of the stepping stones. Another issue I'm facing is taxes, I would have to pay 50-70% tax on the entire amount(invoice+shipping). Imports are heavily taxed, and custom laws are very vague as well. I was planning to get a friend to receive it in a country with minimal tax such as Hong Kong which is next to China, then further repackage it with a fake invoice issued by a paper company so I could save 5-6K USD. Any suggestions?

@Tatace I do 100% agree with this comment. They sell original Cree leds for a great price! I am not sure where in Asia you are from but a lot of Asian country's have the perfect climate to grow outdoors. Only not the best laws to do so... So if you can grow outdoors without the risk doing jail time for it I would consider growing outdoors. The sun is free and the best grow light by far! 😋

Also, Mars only take payment via PayPal as far as I know, but convenient and you get a PayPal receipt then not even a confirmation email until item is dispatched, sometimes tracking, sometimes not. Everything I have bought for years has turned up very well packaged and working.
