Timing the flush for clear high vs coach lock

It is getting closer to the end, and I could really use some help on when to start flushing, considering I will be flushing the soil for a week. I can’t tell whether the trichomes are transparent or milky, no experience here. Just know I’d prefer an 70-30 clear high vs couchlock

Hello. Strains are known for their effect. If you want a clear up head high, you do research and pick a good sativa or cross. If you don't want couchlock don't buy indica's. If you cut down indicas early you get more of a head buzz. What did you get. As for flushing, I extra flush. Yes I notice the difference in my finished product. Here's the test: Go now and cut some buds off and dry them without any flushing, save them in a air tight container. After you finish your smoke do a side by side taste test. See if you notice the taste difference. Of course flushing helps and the scientific name for the process is Osmoses. The ability of chemical transfer through a membrane. Please ask Mr. Google. Not everybody thinks the same. Do what you think is right. Good Luck .Chuck.

It's like this. Once the buds stop growing (the calyxes will swell), you have a week until harvest. Ay that point, most thricomes will be cloudy.

Don't flush. Harvest when she's ready. Flushing doesnt provide any benefit. It forces the plant to cannibalize itself. Blind taste tests have shown that people prefer the taste of unflushed bud with no detectable difference in ash or harshness. There's no mechanism for any "chemicals" to be removed from the plant by flushing.
