I'm not convinced it needs it at this point, If you can use some more LST training techniques that would be an option, your plant is just under a foot high if the diary is correct. If you wanted too defoliate and plan on going through with it. grey_wolfs answer is true. Air flow and light penetration are why growers defoliate. however I know that another user on this site organoman thinks striping any leaves off of a plant is wrong and would say don't. I'm a bit divided on it and think it should only be done in rare cases when LST is not an option and only when there are to many leaves cause issues with airflow. Good Luck! ***disclaimer, multiple people are answering all questions as there is a contest called GOTM, when a user is selected as the answer they get a point. I would avoid stressing her further at this point. Let her grow for a couple of weeks, as you have just transplanted and the plant needs time to recover. You could spike a little the nutrient dose, as she looks in need of some nitrogen.

Good evening, I fully agree with the others! Perform a defoliation but not excessive I recommend!

High bro, This would be the perfect time to do your first defoliation. There are 2 reasons why someone would use defoliation on cannabis plants. 1. To create airflow between the leaves and buds. 2. To cut away small buds at the bottom that will never develop enough to be taken serious. While they use energy that should have gone to those fatties at the top. And you want to get rid of the leaves at the bottom that don't get enough light to be useful. Now would be a good time to use your first defoliation for creating airflow. And you want to do your second defoliation around 2 weeks after switching to 12/12 because by then you can see which buds don't get enough light to develop into a fatty. When you follow these steps you make sure that your plant is focussing fully on the big, fat and juicy buds at the top! Happy Growing! 😋

@HiddenMessage now is as good a time as any to remove excess foliage it will allow more airflow to get in and around the coming budsites plus it also allows more light penetration into the canopy so Win Win Good luck mate
