Ready to Harvest?

Hello - I'm looking for some insight on when I should chop these & the best techniques for doing so. I'm seeing a mix of clear + cloudy heads + some amber. Does anyone think these are getting close to being ready to chop?

Nope, not yet growmie. You want no clear trichome head, only cloudy and amber heads. So, keep being patient. It will be good in a week or two. The best way to harvest is to chop the plant down at the base if you have a dry environment where you're going to dry your plant. I'm talking 30%-40% relative humidity. This will give you a longer dry than cutting branches off of the stalk of the plant and drying that way. You want a long dry, trust me. If it is humid where you will be drying(60%rh+), you'll want to chop branches off of the plant and hang it that way, after you trim off only the fan/shade leaves to help reduce the moisture in your drying area. Ideal relative humidity for a dry is 60% with a temperature of 60°F. In my opinion, that is. Keep being patient and happy harvest!

High soma, I would flush her for 1 week. Then cut all the large fan leaves that you can reach easily and after this cut the main stem all the way at the bottom. Then hang her all the way upside down with only your exhaust fan on with carbon filter. Lights should be off, humidity around 50-60 % and temperature around 20 degrees. After 1 week you can see if the weed is ready for curing. You can bend the branches in a 90° angle and when they snap instead of bend they are ready for curing. I like to use a 62% humidity pack inside a vacuüm container. And I do like to stuff my weed in there a bit early when they create a 70% humidity and then use a overkill humidity pack. For every 100 grams I like to use a humidity pack for 200 grams. This way the humidity pack sucks the moist from the buds and slowly releaves it back inside the container during 2 months curing. Happy Harvest! 😋

i'm an early chopper, too... but i think that needs a bit longer. be sure to focus on trichomes on calyxes and not the leaves. density of colas pistil coloration and percieved "shrinkage" and retraction trichomes use all three to consitently determine a harvest point that you prefer... experiement a bit based on the high you feel later. early-middle-late is totally a personal preference.. read up on it sure, but trust your own experiences above any of that anecdotal slop. some of those ppl can barely tie their own shoes.

I think they're getting close - but you're not there yet. Your plants have not begun to fade a lot however, the pistils are showing nice and brown I'd probably give her another week and then start your flush. Looks like a really good grow! Congrats and good luck!
