When to fruit?

Hi, How much longer should I keep these in veg before flipping? I’m at about week 5 from seed yet I think I have a few weeks to go before moving to fruit tent. Should I be getting rid of some large fan leaves to create room for light? Any tips appreciated. Thanks

If you get rid of the chonkers that are blocking light to inner nodes, you'll start developing a nice even canopy. Also, if you haven't topped it yet, I suggest you do so soon. That's another way to make the inner and lower branches try to catch up to the top of the plant and add even more to the top canopy. As far as flipping to flower goes, that's up to you. If you do what I suggested, top and defoliate, you'll want to wait a few weeks to a month before you flip them into flower. I hope this helps.

It really depends how tall and/or wide you want them to be during flower. Typically, a plant will about double in height during the first few weeks of flower, as well as grow more side growth. Good luck

Hi, You are right, give them a couple more weeks. As for defoliation, if it were me I would remove the inward facing shade leaves and keep the outward facing leaves like a fan of solar panels. Usually every node at this stage has one leaf that faces more inwards than the leaf on the opposite side of the same node. This makes it quite easy. GrowingGrannie posted a link to a decent write up on defoliation. She is lovely despite what the trolls may have you believe and im sure she would have that link on hand being the resourceful giver she is so I would recommend DM'ing GrowingGrannie for that as its takes the time to explain the fundamentals. I hope that helps Sticky Buds!
