In that size space and with that light, you could easily do 3 plants if not 4... and the size pot is up to you but I would encourage at least a 3-gallon if not 5-gallon. Techniques are a different matter... if you are growing autoflowers, then the only technique to use is LST (and some defoliation if necessary)... they don't like the higher stress techniques at all. If you're growing photoperiods, use whatever techniques make you feel comfortable... and if you've never used any techniques, pick only one to start with and learn from. In subsequent grows, you can abandon the technique you've tried or add to it.. it really all depends on your skill level and experience.
