Leaves Down

Ganjafreedombrstarted grow question 2 years ago
My plants have wilted leaves, I suspected it was water, so I watered about 600ml in the morning, the plants are in 12L pots. But it looks like it hasn't been resolved. Before watering I checked and the soil was apparently dry, help me

Try 2-4 litres of water, 600ml for dehydrated plants in 12L pots is nowhere near enough.

it seems that from yesterday to today they started to react but not enough to lift the leaves 100%, to make sure I won't harm them all, I chose one of the three and added 1.2L of water and I'll wait to see the reaction

I noticed the watering yesterday and in fact I didn't water it to the point of running water through the bottom, maybe that's the reason for these roots sticking out through the bottom, so I was afraid of getting too wet

Hi there They look under watered.. When you water make sure your getting some drips coming out the bottom of the pot so the roots at the bottom are getting water too 👍 Best of luck 🌱

A drooping leave without folding is an early symptom of drought, drooping leave with ribbed folds is overladen with water trapped due to the breakdown in photosynthesis, id hazard a guess.

The bottom of the fabric pot needs to be lifted off the base of the pan, moisture will stagnate if the pot is left pressed against the bottom pan with little to no airflow fabric pot should never sit in its own runoff. In normal circumstances growing outside this would not apply so much, grow tents can very easily have dead spots for air circulation depending on setup, you should look to have an extraction fan on a cycle timer to exhaust air and create negative pressure, your grow space should stay below 50rh, also remember the RH at the top of a grow can be drastically different at the bottom. Leafs heavy and folded, overladen with water. Ambient 63 is slowing photosynthesis to a grind, along with light a plant needs heat to excite the atoms within the chlorophyll that capture photons, the optimal temperature or leaf surface temperature (LST) for photosynthesis is 85-86, (Veg only) (flower stage 1 stay under 80) (stage 2 under 68). Set ambient to grow space to 80 degrees ish lower your grow lights until the top of the canopy gets as close to 86 without going over, this will send photosynthesis into overdrive which in turn should accelerate water uptake, all things in perpetual harmony. Much love good luck.

Looks like they want a little more than 600ml to me! Water until you have run-off to ensure all the root system has had a drink and see how they look a few hours later. If still down, could be infestation or root problem or a whole list of things tbh!

Before watering I checked and the soil was apparently dry, I currently have 6 plants in the grow but the problem appeared only in the automatic plants in pre flora. I don't know what else it could be, maybe excess of some nutrient. Currently the PH is at 5.5
