Does this mean the actual bud will be purple? And is this a great time to begin the flush?! Can I get an old school breakdown of what I’m looking at. This is the very first grow that we haven’t had to stop midway. Any tips or tricks at this time?

No the bud will look green when finished Buds often have purple and red streaks in them when growing but once they are harvested it's hard to notice any colour unless you look very closely If you want buds that look very purple when dry then they need to look virtually completely purple when growing by the middle of flower and often the leaves on these plants turn colours like black yellow orange red I grew some blueberry from DJ short a few years ago one of the plants had buds that looked about 30 to 40% purple on the surface of the bud when growing most of this purple was on the leaves so when harvested the buds looked green So purple plants need purple calyx not just purple leaves or they will look mostly green when the buds are dry and compacted

Good for you brother, damn nice first grow you should be proud. The purple stuff you see is called anthocyanin it replaces chlorophyll when specific conditions are met. I'm pretty much experimenting myself if your interested check out my grows. 3 days cycles of pure blue ( 0 red) replacing white light. This sends terpene profile into overdrive. On day 3 keep all temps from thereon in below 67 , slam rh as low as you can this forces stomata to close preventing terpenes escaping. Follow this with 48-72 pure darkness. I do 100% Organic 0 flush required Boil water to kill rootzones, this forces the stomata to close before death meaning the only way for moisture to escape during the cure is flower and not leaves, slowing down the dry considerably. Cure n dry is all about low and slow. Some Terpenes evaporate above 67 I dry 60 farenheight 60rh. Good luck.

I don't see that your plant has even started to fade yet... but then, you're not posting pictures of the entire plant. The pistils are still pretty white - I think you've got a ways to go yet - maybe 2-3 weeks so no, I would not be starting the flush. Good luck...
