if you don't add any nutes with colour, best cheapest and accurate way - aquarium drops try to find small range, for easier colour scheme 6.0-7.5 something like this : growdiaries.com/static/post/photo/20573/6219523_grow-journal-by-asnoriuseedsmanalaskan-diesel-auto.jpg

If it is that yellow meter off Amazon I had the exact same problem with the replacement I got after the first came broken. I found that it calibrates in a medium low high ph in some order and if it is calibrated in the wrong solution it stays with very off reading. My solution was to go through the instructions again and calibrate again… and again… It worked eventually, luckily I had some old ph paper tests and used those to be sure, they are cheap and offer a good check on electronic meters. I may invest in a higher end meter soon as my junker still gives me untrustworthy readings often. Good luck.

Maybe post your make a model of PH pen and someone might know of a fix for it. When calibrating my pen I temp my calibration solution 25c and rinse well in between dips of 4.01-7.01 solution. If your pen has been dry for a while. let it soak in storage solution for a day before trying to calibrate or it will be off in the next day after doing all the work. Good Luck!

My meter doesn't have a screw... Or reset button. Instructions just say to do 6.89 first, then 4, then 9. Did 6.8, was fine. Did 4, then it got stuck on 4. Dafuq man :( Will probably invest in a decent meter instead of fking around with these shoddy pens!!!

Should have a little screw to turn calibration. Do 7 solution first turn calibration screw until your reader reads 7 then do the 4 and adjust till you hit 4 go back and forth until no more adjustments are needed when you stick it in the 7 and stick it in the 4
