i was watching a video on youtube and the person was using an led light which had separate toggle switches for bloom and veg and during flowering of autoflowers he had both switches on and was wondering if that is better to have both on and if so is it only good for autoflowers?

Yes both on, the bloom is an extra addition to use in conjunction with the grow/veg light during flowering, not just the bloom light on its own during flowering. This holds true for both autos and photoperiod plants. I actually use both veg and bloom both switched on, from day one until harvest day and believe this provides better results.

I'm with organoman here... my plants always have 100% of the lights from day 1 - and why not?! If they're grown outside, you can't regulate the sun!

Yes both on during flower they like the full spectrum well autos at least i dont bother with lights that have that option because it means you are not using its actual power if half are off

In flowering you should always have both switches on, switching on the bloom switch adds the light spectrum that plants use during flowering. It's true for both autos and photoperiod plants.
