Im about to start my 3rd ever grow, now I cant get enough of it. For my last 2 grows, in a 90x90x200 tent, I've has a MARS Hydro TS 1000w LED for Veg / 600w HPS for Flowering.... Can I use only the LED throughout? The heat from the HPS is crazy. Cant wait to start posting on here

Hi! For sure😉 If it's really 1000 watt LED (which I doubt), then you've got a solid lamp there. And it's from a good brand. I grew with 600 watts and was already happy with that. I think you'll get nice results just by looking at the light, of course😁 The LED consumes much less and doesn't get hot at all, that's really a difference. So I definitely understand you. Many still believe that HPS gives more yield, but nowadays the LED lamps are pretty good and do their job. Of course, nothing compares to our natural sun🌞 Good luck with growing!🌱

The8thChevron, People are really being misled into thinking it's all about the watts. It's not always clearly indicated on the websites. What a shame! I think many are growing their plants with too little light.

Thankyou, I asked this same question on another site last year and was told me HPS was needed to Flower plants, ever since I've been battling the heat which currently stands at stand at 31c. Grow Diaries looks pretty cool, I've spent hours scrolling though stuff!

That is actually a 150W light. I would consider getting a second one, otherwise your coverage area in flower is only 2x2 I believe. It will certainly take a plant (maybe 2) all the way through flowering with no issues though!
