Growing this in a small tent as I am Only growing one plant at a time. This is a hobby. So I plan to train the plant to grow wide instead of up. Never grown in a tent before, so the question is… what do I feed it and how often?

So, I've started growing in tents. Got sucked into buying many bottles of stuff. Really there's no need. Green House Feeding Bioline will work a treat for you. Or even there mineral line. As for controlling your grow, top early. And then re top the nodes to make her have more girt to fill out your tent. As for your feeding again. There's so many ways to go. Me, I prefer the kiss method (keep it simple stupid) as messing around with bottles, and many liquids, is annoying. As for keeping the top of your soil wet, as suggested. I'd strongly disagree. Growing in tents. Is not like growing outside. Pick 2 pour points a few cm away from your stem. Pull back a bit of dirt pour water on it. And allow it to leak down into roots. As why would you keep the top wet, with light spray. Roots grow below the ground. So, all your doing by doing it that way. Is increasing the risk of gnats, damping off and that, is something you don't need to do. A young plant, for the 1st week or so. The roots are close to the stem so once you pour some water near your stem, (making sure not to wet around the stem) this will me much better. And having the top of your soil wet all the time, will cause issues of its own. Will help keep a high RH that's about the only benefit. Good luck.

Hi welcome to the site and you say you grow in a tent do you have the fans and filter ect to maintain the temperature and the purple leds are really not any good for flowering I find that you only get a good result when you get the temperature and environment at perfect speed and you will probably need a better light and a fan controller and possibly a heater good luck growing but environment is a big factor in your success

Hey Growmie, welcome! These babies are going to need some TLC from the start. # 1 problem with seeedlings is overwatering. Get yourself a spray bottle, ph’d distilled water or spring water and lightly mist the soil keeping the top only, moist till the seed pops, then keep using your ph’d water (6.0-6.5) lightly misting the soil top layer only. Don’t over water, you will suffocate the delicate roots! Once it has a few true sets of leaves you can start SLOWLY increasing the amount of water. Overwatering is not how much, but how often you are watering, once the plant has roots, it’s ok to let the soil dry out a bit, but not too much. This encourages the roots to seek water. Once you’re past the seedling stage day 21 + you can introduce nutrients. You need a base line with N-P-K and an additional Cal/Mag source . Use 1/2 to 3/4 strength of whatever the bottle tells you. Then continue to ask questions if the community! They are great here. Good Luck Growmie 🇨🇦👊❤️

you should go for liquid nutrients, check the ph and ec of the nutrient solution. Aim for an EC level of 0.5-0.8 until around 13/15 days after germinating. You want the EC measurement to be hitting between 1.2-1.6 during the vegetative stage and 1.6-2.4 during flowering Water your plant when they feel light, if you want to be more precise, weight the pot before watering and after, and water every time you hit the weight "before watering" again. Happy growing mate hope been helpful
