I don't think you cut quite low enough and have not really achieved any "fimming", just a topping cut.
Yes, the pant will look like this after this mutalation "technique".
After experimenting extensively with fim vs normal topping, I would now never consider ever doing fim again, it is too hard to do correctly and get reliable results and the recovery time is 2-4 times longer than normal topping.
In fact, I much prefer training over any type of mutalation of my plants (topping/fimming) - unless I was doing a scrog type of grow.

Reason to Flmimg is to make multiple bud sites. A few weeks of veg and you can start to shape them 4 nodes anyways you want.

Hey Growmie,
Since you did use the FIM technique, this is actually completely normal since the plant is trying to grow multiple tops in the same area, so there's nothing to worry about she's fine. Hopefully, this was helpful, and remember ... "Happy Growing" and "Free your mind one puff at a time"

Hey Growmie, she looks a little crowded and bunched, but I suspect that’s because there are 4 sites growing there instead of 2 if you had topped. Just curious why FIM instead of Top?
