Does anyone else use apple cider vinegar to PH the water? Someone said not to use any vinegar bc it evaporates faster than water and gets back to neutral. I read online the opposite and it makes great ph Down. I also find my plants both in my tent and my windowautoflowerishealthy

Hey Growmie, Apple Cider Vinegar is an organic acid that can be used to lower the PH of the water. It is important to note that your PH will be unstable in soil particularly, as the water evaporates it’ll make the water more alkaline again which could cause problems for nutrient absorption in your plant. Only use vinegar in an emergency situation or you’ll cause damage to your plants.

Any acid can work, but some are more stable or longer lasting in the medium. ACV is raw and if it has the mother it's an added benefit of giving some Lacto bacteria to the soil. Vinegar is also a week disinfectant and can harm soil microbe life. Other options for PH down are phosphoric acid, Nitric acid, citric acid, hydrochloric acid, sulphuric acid, I'm more a fan of the first one and some organic growers like citric and or vinegar. The last two are a bit aggressive and can cause more problems then solve. Good Luck!

Check that water in 5-7 hours and ph will be off again. Same happens in pot, soil gets all over, but not in needed ratio. Ph +- cost pennies and last very long . Its like 1 time in 5 years buy.
