can the fan cause the plant to have issues? I always feel like once it get to the height of the fan it has more trouble getting taller and or looks not as pretty once it gets there.

Yes to much air blowing over the leaves can cause the leaves to transpire to much and they will usually start to curl in an attempt to retain water. You only want air circulation to avoid WPM. A small fan below the canopy can help keep things circulating nicely. Keeping your fan blowing above the canopy is what you want. Never directly on the plant. Happy Growing

I have heard of some users saying wind stress is causing some things in plants but I have not experienced it myself. an oscillating fan works best if its pointed at the plants but it should only be on in 15 min increments every so often during the day. The other fans I use are not pointed at the plants but they are moving the air around inside the tent in a cyclone type fashion and getting new air moving all them bud sites like a crisp breeze on a spring day. So don't point the fan directly at them if its on all the time, and if you going to get an oscillating fan, spend the extra cash and get a good one as the cheep ones are massive fire hazards. FYI: We will not be notified of any reply or tag [@] in the questions part of the website, if you need to reach out with other information use your DM "direct mailbox" in the bottom right hand corner of the page. it looks like a little paper airplane icon. Best Of Luck!

I always tend to point my fans at the sides of the tent so the air hits it and bounces off around the plants... With a scrog net, you can also put the fan to work underneath the canopy - again, not having the air hit the leaves directly... try either of these and see if you don't see some improvement! Good luck!

I find it best to have the fan blowing across the top of the plant but not directly hitting it.

The fan should not blow directly on the plant. It just causes the plant to work harder to keep her leaves pointing towards the light. The fan is just needed for air circulation inside the grow space. When the leaves gently dance in the wind it is perfect. It will make sure that moist will not sit still and cause mold, to cool the plant down and let the water that transpirate from the bottom of the leaves evaporate. Wind pointed directly on the plant will cause unnecessary stress. Your plants are looking great! Enjoy your grow buddy!
