m0useanswered grow question 2 years ago I'm new to rock wool but I subscribe to the following practices.
I always cover my seeds when germinating as I feel no light is good it causes the seed to want to stretch and find the light, in turn removing the shell/cap on it.
I like to keep my RH in the 60% range, under 80% though as to much moisture is a recipe for mold growth.
I keep my PH in check around 6.4 for soil grows. In soil less you'd want to keep this aorund 5.8-6.0 dependent on your setup and what you plan on feeding them.
RO water is very caustic and void of nutrients you will want to re-mineralize it with something or the plant will die with just RO water. Normally this is a very week feeding concentration of around 0.1-0.2 EC
