You want to cover the seed with max 0.5 cm rockwool. You just need to protect the seed against the light and keep her moist. You do not want to keep her wet just moist and you want to cover not bury. You want pH 5.8 and give nutrients from the moment you see the first leaves. Before the seed contains enough energy for the first 24 hours. You can start with EC 0.6 The first week. When she has her first real leaves EC 0.8 and build up every week with EC 0.1 till you reached EC 1.8 that is enough till flushing 1 week before harvest!

I'm new to rock wool but I subscribe to the following practices. I always cover my seeds when germinating as I feel no light is good it causes the seed to want to stretch and find the light, in turn removing the shell/cap on it. I like to keep my RH in the 60% range, under 80% though as to much moisture is a recipe for mold growth. I keep my PH in check around 6.4 for soil grows. In soil less you'd want to keep this aorund 5.8-6.0 dependent on your setup and what you plan on feeding them. RO water is very caustic and void of nutrients you will want to re-mineralize it with something or the plant will die with just RO water. Normally this is a very week feeding concentration of around 0.1-0.2 EC FYI: We will not be notified of any reply or tag [@] in the questions part of the website, if you need to reach out with other information use your DM "direct mailbox" in the bottom right hand corner of the page. it looks like a little paper airplane icon. Best Of Luck!

1. I would cover the entire seed... but don't remove the seed to do this now - just tear off a LITTLE bit of the rock wool and cover it otherwise, you could damage the root 2. I don't think pH really matters at this point but it's good to get in the habit of giving it 5.8 or even 5.5 right now and increase it to 5.8 when the roots touch the water 3. You want really high humidity from now until the seedling is about 1-2 weeks old... 70% is good... then start lowering it to the 60s... then 50s in pre-flower and early flower and then the 40s in full flower... Good luck!
