How to get an accurate gram per watt result in harvest numbers?

How should I go about getting an accurate gram per watt measurement on this grow? It's a 2 strain, 4 plant grow under a 150w light. The diary itself is only documenting the two 24k plants. Should I change the light in the weeks to 75w or what?

Yes then change your lights to 75 watts.. if you want the numbers to accurately reflect your harvest of 2 of the 4 in the tent. That or double your dry weight when you input those numbers against the 150 W light.. but again, as many have said.. it matters not.

If you need them to be accurate, I would raise the dry weight accordingly, but tell what I did in the harvest comment. So it's a report of what actaully happened, but with the right ratio of g/W.

The way the site tracks it doesn't work for multiple plants under 1 light. I usually work it out and put the true gram per watt in the harvest comments

Only way to accurately calculate is by taking the whole grow. Then back calculate based on what each plant produced. Light gets blocked and reflected throughout the tent. Even if your plants don't touch they block reflected light. Plus as others say it not a practical way of measurement unless your comparing the same strain. You can get a huge range of yield different strains.

But I mean what is the most acceptable way to go about splitting up the light for the plants? See I'm only logging 2 of the 4 plants under the 150w light. So does that mean the 2 plants are technically under 75w since it's half the tent?

The only way is to grow it, chop it, dry it, THEN weigh them on a decent scale that has been calibrated. The only way brotha, if you want higher accuracy grow the exact pheno under exact conditions. Even then you will have fluctuating results. You can get in a broad range. Best, The Fatty McCoy

Grams per watt doesn't mean anything. I actually just ordered a shirt that says, "Grams per Watt" with a circle around it and a line going through. I saw Mr. Growit Wearing it in one of his videos today and decided I needed it. Happy new year!

If you’re merely speaking about the diary numbers it calculates.. I wouldn’t stress it. There’s tons of issues with the way those numbers are calculated. Do the math yourself and post it in the notes for the week. I personally never look at that myself on this site cuz I know there’s so many issues with it. I personally look at peoples grows in the pics and judge that way.. numbers can be bullshitted but pics don’t lie. Grow looks good btw. Nice job
