new to me

Don't really know what I'm doing, but I have two seeds that germinated and are up. Germinated the 3 seeds, 1 didn't make it, the other two are looking good. I am still iffy on how much water, but what I have read, is to give it plenty of water and then let it dry out. I need to get the closet set up better and I have another light to put in. Have a timer set up for 18/6 It is a real basic set up now.

all is going well, plants are getting bigger and look real good. took the plastic off and lowered the lights a bit gave them a diluted mixture of Miracle Grow, but will get some better nutes

Another good week. Everything is looking good. I had expected the plants to get taller, but they look very healthy, so I'll wait to see what the rest of this week brings. I assume they are getting enough light, but have another light on order, along with a small fan. The closet walls are white, but I may line them with foil, or repaint them. I added some coffee grounds. Added some white lining, raised the light to about 14" have some banana peels to add. Will be moving them to bigger pots at the end of the week

Re-potted both plants, gave them a good long drink and and let them drain. They were a bit droopy for a while, then seemed to perk up. They are looking good and GROWING, I think they grew an inch in a day Added a cap full of 4-6-3 Dr. Earth tea Day 25: I think it is time to add another light. Both girls are reaching and the light I have is uni-directional. I will rig up a 2 socket lamp and install directly over the two plants.

Day 29: since transplanting they are growing like weeds :), about an inch a day (really). I topped them and can see them fill out more. Should have topped them much earlier. (lesson learned for next time) I want them to bush out a bit more, but know my lighting is not opinmal. Added another light and created a better setup for positioning the lights. still getting 2 caps of Dr. Earth tea a day. I water only when they get dry, about every other day. about a cup, sometimes more. : A great project and having fun watching their progress. Day 30: boxed in the plants with a highly reflective material (underlayment material for laminate flooring) pruned the bottom branches off re-positioned lights to partially reflect off the sides, but still getting full illumination on the tops. saved the clipping for further "evaluation" Day 33 plants are about 22 inches and starting to fill out a little better up top. Day 35 Both are doing well, look very healthy, but both have never bushed out. Still, looking good.

start of the 6th week. Lessons learned. * Prepare the space before getting started. I really just threw them in a closet with a single LED lite. * waited into the 4th week before topping. should have continued to top the lower nodes. * NEED MORE LIGHT, * Have a grow tent on the way that I will use as soon as I get it. Day 36 seeing some pre-flowering I am going to keep it at the current light schedule (18/6) for another week, then will try the 12/12 to see if I can get a full flower. My first grow, so I am anxious to get this to harvest and to get a new grow going. Day 37 the girls are starting to fill out a little more Buds are forming on all the nodes Got the grow tent - Oshion 24"x 24"x 48" Indoor Mylar Hydroponics Grow Tent Room Very nice tent, well made. I'm impressed as I only spend $29.99 on it. Big improvement, another lesson learned. Did the basic setup, got the lights and fan going, will decide if I need a fan and filter. Day 40 lots of flowering The tent made a big difference, the girls are filling out and budding The yield is looking better already. Day 42 Turned the light schedule to 14/10 Really starting to bud on all nodes.

Day 43 changed the light schedule to 12/12 stopped the Dr. Earth Tea and have added a few tbsp's of diluted Miracle Grow. Buds are really popping Day 47 lots of flowering, more on one, than the other (the brighter light) * lesson learned - need more even lighting even in tent. Both plants are looking very healthy, but bottom leaves are beginning to wilt.

Week 8, Day 48 All is well Gave Emma and Alice a good drink of water and a few cap fulls of the Miracle Grow mixture. Trimmed a few bottom leaves. They seemed to be wilted, but the rest of the plants are great, look very healthy. I was hoping to harvest at the end of the week because I wanted to start a new grow. I've learned a lot from this grow and wanted to get started on a LST grow and try something different to increase yield, but I'm going to wait another week, maybe two if these continue to blossom. I really didn't expect much when I got started, but, now I'm hooked and enjoying the process (thought I would like to enjoy the fruits as well) I moved Alice to the other light and giving Emma some time under the brighter light. * Plan to upgrade light for next grow. Day 49 Girls are thirsty. Gave them both about 16 ounces of water and 2 caps of Miracle Grow. That is all. Day 51 Watering about 16 ounces every other day and have cut out all nukes. Emma has gotten top heavy, but looks good. Alice is really blooming. Day 52 Alice is looking good, but Emma has never really filled out. I expect both could have used more light earlier in the grow, and more nukes. Most of the buds on Emma and Alice look good, but not that big. I will be harvesting them the first of the week to make way for a new grow. Looks like there is enough for some cannabutter, tincture, and a little for smoke, but not a great yield. I will try to maximize my yield next time with some training. This was a fun grow and many lessons learned. Day 55 Alice and Emma have been relegated to garage, I will harvest them tomorrow. I know they don't look like much, but as my first grow, using limited resources, I'm happy with the girls. They did better than I thought. Interested to see how the weight count will be for the buds, but I'm keeping everything, including the stems (not for smoking). thanks to everyone for rooting me on and the information. I am following bunches of people now and learning a lot.

Cut down the plants and hung them to dry. I'll leave them at least a week

First time grower, so not a lot to share. It was fun keeping track of my progress and following others on the grow diaries, and I learned a lot from many other growers. I have a new grow that I started this week and will try to incorporate many of the methods and techniques I have seen her, and other places. Feels like a fun environment to share.
