Hello. Yes I believe in the LST. In my grow room I could control the RH by taking of some big fanleaves pre plant. Did that for 20 years before I got a dehumidifier. The more light that penetrants the canopy gets to the secondary buds and make them bigger. The plants use less nutrient when you take off some fanleaves. Never take any more than 1/3 of the leaves off a plant at one time, or it will throw them into shock. But being a weed, cannabis usually bounces back if it is allowed time to heal after a major stress. This is what works for me; In veg take any leaf off that blocks a branch end from growing up and thin leaves to promote new branch growth. Always allow 3 to 5 days for healing before turning over to flowering. Never trim/prune in the first 2 1/2 to 3 weeks of flowering. Do a final trim/prune at 2 1/2 to 3 weeks of flowering before the resin starts to show and then leave the plants alone until harvest. Take off the odd fan leaf if needed. When trimming/pruning be aware to remove the sucker branches as well. You want lots of air flow in the middle of the plant so you can avoid mold and powder mildew Good Luck. Chuck.

Why defoliate at all? If the plants would not need those leaves, it would not have grown them in the first place! Just remember......... Maximum amount of healthy green leaves = maximum amount of energy production = maximum amount of growth. Defoliation if absolutely needed for whatever reason should not be done just after switching to 12/12 or in the first few weeks of flower, these are the times when stress can play havoc with your plants........but why defoliate at all, "just because"? Go easy on the feding too, they are very, very green. Too much nitrogen in flower will cause excess leaf growth at the expense of flower growth.

if these are clones and they have worked with this cultivar before I would listen to them and try not to defoliate. Stress nanners end of grow or common enough, they don't normally seed the whole tent maybe get 5-10 a plant if in close quarters. but thats only my experience with it. could be much worse for others. Good Luck!

First of all, this is a great article to read on how, when and why to defoliate .... https://www.growweedeasy.com/nebulas-super-simple-3-step-defoliation-tutorial Secondly, they'll only be stressed out if you do too much too quickly... if they really need defoliation, do it judiciously and do it slowly (a little bit today, a little bit tomorrow kind of thing)... Good luck!
