She grows not so dense that she would need adefoilation. You cleared the lower area thats nice. And i would just take away some leaves blocking the light . She needs her energy for the flowrs dont put away to much, because she tries to reproduce .... happy growing

Remove all the largest fan leaves first, then pick out the ones blocking other bits sites and remove all lower growth that looks small or doesn't get any light. And yes will probably be around 20/30 leaves!, 🌱😁

Is she ok?I am concerned it is unhappy after I defoliated her . Nine weeks old 20 inch 3 gal soil getting water 1 quart with ph 6.2 runoff same clean. After 3 weeks old had major temp drop from 70s f to 30s f. She also struggle shedding seed cover and she twisted as it grew.

Nutrient deficiency, pest or under-watering?I'm not sure whether i'm having a nutrient deficiency problem, am under-watering or having a pest. As you can see some leaves dried up and turned yellow and i'm also noticing a little bit of interveinal chlorosis.
