Fabric grow pot drainage

How do you get proper drainage? Using them in this grow with coco/perlite and another with soil, and unless I raise them on a rack the bottom stays wet because they sit in the runoff pan. A proper pot has a raised bottom with holes below. Maybe buy a few dish drying racks? Ideas?

@gottagrowsometime Rags? I wrote racks lol. I will just use some old fridge racks on a couple bricks or something. Thanks.

Nope.. no rags or any material in your sub like that. Fungi will attack and other stuff. And it'll actually block drainage. Just punch 2 3 holes as if it were a plastic pot and use a spill tray.. but have the sitting on somethin like on 4 corners so it can drain itself Good luck

There are risers made to put in the saucers. And you def want some run off with the coco

Suerte

With coco, you should ensure a bit of runoff to prevent the buildup of salts. And then there is the flushing to leach ppm's out once in a while. While I do empty the runoff pan so it is dry after each feeding, the bottom of the pot will stay wet much longer than the entire substrate becomes bone dry.

Normally if it was me I would just let the plants soak up the remaining water over a short period of time...Or just decrease the amount of water you're adding enough to prevent so much run off
