umm... you mean like too many people trying to fit through a doorway running from a fire? i'm 99% sure it doesn't work that way as far as any potential effect on root absorption, but i also doubt claims of any product that say they increase root uptake. (myco is an exception as it can increase surface area of absorbed water+dissolved minerals - essentially increasing size/reach of roots.. not sure if much benefit in all contexts, but more likely useful in soil or outside) VPD is biggest factor to root uptake. Rate of transpiration drives the water flow. Roots work through diffusion... if it fits through the semi-permeable membrane, it goes into the plant. There is no selection process. There is no nervous system making an active choice. So, unless rootjuice chelates the molecules that are too large, it is highly unlikely it increases absorption at roots... maybe other stuff it claims is true, but this 1 aspect is very unlikely. whatever is in it adds to the dissolved content of the water, and that can cause lockout... so if you bombed it with root juice and heavy fertilizers, that could potentially cause an issue, sure. and, happens to be similar to a bunch of scared people stampeding through a small doorway. concentration gradients can cause problems in the plant too... the plant wants to operate in a happy zone and if water entering has too much, that's going to interfere with water flow in the plant. where it would normally flow in, it might be flowing out from through a membrane as osmosis tries to balance out and it's going the wrong way, like chevy chase in national lampoon's vacation.
