It's not in my test grow that I'm documenting here. The little critters are mainly in the coconut substrate, and I noticed them a few days ago. They haven't caused any visible damage to the plants so far. Today, I used spider mite control and neem oil soap.

What you've got are fungus gnats if I'm not mistaken... they won't do any damage until they run out of decaying matter to eat and start eating your roots. You can kill all adults/larvae/eggs by using some Mosquito Bits.... just soak the granules as directed and then use the water for your plants... the spider mite control and neem oil soap won't do anything to get rid of them...
