Should I defoliate the lower nodes of the branches?

Wondering if I should defoliate the lower nodes of all the branches (as shown in the picture, white arrows pointing to what I am considering cutting) to maximize growth of each top. Thoughts?

any of it touching the substrate or overlapping and causing some standing water on leaves? always keep as many leaves as possible -- remove to reduce risk or some other good reason and you'll do fine. stuff below bend on trunk rarely turns out well... even if you keep it level, it'll get fewer resources than other axillary growth.

Hello ekkoz897, I would not defoliate those nodes because you've got enough space in between branches and because you trained your plant into this shape the 2nd nodes will still catch a good amount of light from your lamp. They will catch the light that otherwise would be wasted. More light, more energy, more buds!
