How do I drop my RH down when nothing works? Check Diary. Will defoliation be a good idea? Open tent door and leave it open?

My 2x2 is starting to crowd. This is driving the RH to over 70%. Should I defoliate to help with crowding and RH? Or should I just leave it alone? RH in lung room is 48% Exhaust fan, high or low with a dehumidifier, doesn't work. What should I do? Defoliate? Thanks! Check diary.

Defoliation can certainly help. Less leaves = less transpiration. Are you keeping your soil really wet? If so water less. Lowering the space temperature will slow down the transpiration rate and will decrease humidity. Not sure what you are using for extraction fan, but it might be wise to just run it constantly, or get a bigger fan that can move that humidity out quickly and keep it in check. Keeping the tent open will certainly lower the humidity, but you'll waste light and release all of the environment. So to recap, Defoliate 50% of your leaves, yes Lower environment temperature (decreases transpiration rate) Don't saturate your soil or leave any water laying around (a big full root zone needs saturation, but if your plants go 4 or more days without watering then reduce your water volume) Invest in a bigger extraction fan

I had to buy a bigger dehumidifier my man. I had same problem. Trust me get a Hansabenne 2500sq ft dehumidifier off amazon. I believe mine was 0-5. The little 50-75$ won't work. Step up amd get the one I got bro. It will solve ALLL your problems. If you can't afford it then yes, defoliation of bottom 1/3rd or at most 1/2 the plant will help. Point oscillating fans at the soil or coco to help dry it out quicker. And if necessary open the door. I would suggest getting a AC infinity inline fan window exhaust thingy. It will go in the window, then you can attach your exhaust to it. So all your exhaust goes outside your home. Then if your lung room is as low as you say then it should only be getting that fresh air which is lower which will help. Bit with a tent so full a dehumidifier is some times the only option and was my only option. The dehumidifier I listed above DOES work. Most the time I leave it in lung room, but sometime I did have to place it in the grow tent. But for the money it's your best bet. Goodluck and please consider me as the answer so I can be entered for a chance to win grower of the month contest I would really appreciate your support growmie 🙏 😃

Update: I just realized this is for the other diary I have going now. Same plants, same issue. Not as bad in this diary. Please check the Overflow Strawberry Gorilla and Gorilla Cookies. I'm so sorry for the mistake. The pictures are from the correct tent. I also moved the probe to a different spot in the tent to see what it reads. It's less humid there. Only by a couple percent though. I also lowered the circular fan speed from 5 to 3. Maybe that will help.

@Mrs_Larimar The heat is only a today thing. The normal temp is around 78° with the door closed. I have the lung room at 70°. However, even with the heat, the RH stays above 70%. If defoliation is the what I have to do, where should I start? Should I start at the top and clear out the biggest leaves? Or just open space between them plants for more air flow? Less is more correct? Or not in this case? Thanks!

Yes.all These Things Help. Airflow, lettingtent Open during day. And in this Case i say yes to defoiliating. Less plant Material, more airflow lessv water evaporates. Did you tra to Heat the place? More temp .reduces rh
