Status upgrades seem to be like dependant. In theory it's good but you get gurus and masters that newbie and apprentices ask questions to and listen with the guru and master( some one gets an answer om a guru like "up your feed, up you EC to 5.0. give bloom nutes in veg and veg

I just noticed it is impossible to find a solution to a problem or a deficiency here in grow questions because everyone is saying completely different things sometimes even conflicting. Maybe ppl are just trolling :)

Status on this site is popularity. The more likes the higher the status. Ideally the person asking the question shouldn't just go off a person's status but look at there grows, I have seen guru growers with no diaries guru growers with plenty of diaries. Guru growers with diaries are the ones I'd select.

Status is based on numbers of Likes. It’s easy to reach Guru rank, you just need to drops comments on diaries to expect getting a like. I know what you feel, particularly when you try helping people to fix their problems. Selecting blindly nonsense answers and seeing them coming back a few weeks later with the problem getting worse. This is where if they get some more bullshit nonsense answers, you can be sure they will stay away from GrowDiaries community. New growers looking for help should check the "Guru’s" diaries and plants before following his recommendations 😊

Don't get too hung up on "status" on here. It's less a measure of grow experience and based moreso on how active they are within the community. It's generated off all your "likes" so the more active someone is in the comments the higher they get. There are several "gurus" with fewer finished diaries than apprentices because they comment on damn near EVERY diary and question. Just worry about growing your grow and when you stumble upon a grower that fits your style maybe follow em for a bit. When it comes to growing weed once you get a little knowledge everyone thinks they're an expert but there's always room to grow and learn and try new things, there are no one size fits all solutions for growing. Everyone's situation is a little different be it climate, style preferences, budget, etc. What works for Jim may be a total failure for Sally. At least that's how I approach it.

Status is based solely on the level of interaction on the site, not on skill as a grower: the more likes you get, the higher your level. That's all. And in the questions section it can cause a problem, because true beginners will tend to favour the answers of the "Gold Members", whereas some of them talk a lot of rubbish or knock down things they don't like (like those who don't know how to grow "autoflowers" and go around saying that it's crap). The first thing that made me laugh when I arrived here was to see that those who are at the top of the growers' list have very low yields, often below 100g/plant. :3

5.0 is way high and you do give a little veg nutrients while in flower for the first few weeks, if you want to keep your leaves healthy green. Is there a question here? Or just letting off some steam?
