Stunted growth on 16 day old northern lights auto. 1/3 coco 2/3 fox farms ocean floor. gave it a minor dose of cal mag plus just in case this is a developing deficiency. It has three nodes but it is very small at approximately 1.5-2 inches. The pattern may be genetic?

Coco is a common peat alternative to lighten soil while not sacrificing a lot of water retention, it's not an issue mixing with lol. Not a fan of a lot of the ammended soil mixes out there personally. I like the control of adding nutes myself. Honestly size wise, your plant looks OK for only 16 days, I wouldn't trip at the moment.

I honestly dont understand why it became so popular. You dont have watering option, coco and soil has absolutely different ideas in it. You dont have ph, because it varies depending in wich medium you grow. You dont have feed control or freedom, soil is always preloaded, how it will work and how long in mix with coco , only god knows. You want good results - buy prepeared mix. Pro mix HP , google that option for future. Fox farm soils were terrible, i tried them not once, always some issues ... but i cant bash brand, when all idea is wrong. Search for article or petson, who gave you that idea and ask him. Now there is so many things what could be wrong and i dont know any way to help you ... Nurse it out. Check run off ppm, that will give you idea whats inside, but will never tell how much of what .... Tough situation. Love, care, go with soil feeds and watering and maybe something will happen. Treat it as almost plain soil, aka without preload and go with needed nutritions from this point, just for start use way less than it would be recommended. Like 40-50% max, with no feed waterings. Feed/plain water/ feed /plain and repeat.

I will start to laugh. Most common question after " is it ready ? " is " whats wrong with my plant which i planted into STUPID COCO and SOIL mix " This doesnt work . Make your mind, then grow. For soil its one care , totally other for coco. Plant is ok, you just made him look like this ...

hopefully just soem ugly early growth it snaps out of... New leaves look fine, eh? if so, no worries. Don't thnknk of fertilizer as "add a dash of this or that" once in a while.. it should be a consistent mix of f nutrients supplementing what your soil does not. The plant needs all those nutes at all times. it's not an on/off situation. if the soil and your fertlizer choice requires a cal-mag product, then use it each time. figure out what level keeps the plant even.
