Is it wise to top clone plants? Will it stress them out?

No it won't stress them out, as long as they are growing healthily before you top them.

Not if they aren't rooted. If rooted then sure why not? Guys will cut leaves with scissors when prepping them cuz they think it cuts down the rate of transpiration, which lends itself to more energy on forming roots, but it's been debunked. I cut my leaves anyways because it's just what i've gotten used to and it doesn't hurt them anyways.

hmmm have you seen people cutting leaves on clones ? thats not topping buddy and the only reason they do it in my eyes is to save space. dont train clones until they are rooted. like the other growers have stated I mean im sure it is possible. though probably push your rooting times upto over a month or summit stupid like that lol if you want a really big plant from a cutting look into monster cropping this is a teqnique where you take a cutting while a plant is in flower you root that cut and put it back in veg. then when this cut is rooted it will be mutated and grow like crazy i hear anyway. Ive never done it lol

I agree with GGST, If the clones are established you can do whatever you want with them they act like a baby photoperiod plant at that point. LST and HST is on the table. If they are fresh cuttings, you could top them if you wanted, don't know why you would, more stress=more failure. Most just trim the leaves down and put them in a cloning chamber to get some roots on them. Good Luck!

I don't understand the Q? Why top a fresh clone..there's no roots. So no growth until u know its rooted and suited for pottin If they're rooted. Of course do what u want
