Twisting leaves - genetic?

I've noticed an odd thing with my new Sweet Gelato plant. The leaves aren't curling as much as they're twisting. I'm not sure if this is a genetic thing or something else. I've never experienced this before. Any ideas?

Yikes Thats some serious twisting Could be 1 of 2 things. Your ph is way to acidic. (Too high) But your plant as a whole looks fine I do notice the same twisted leafs are under the same node set. My guess..as that's all it is Is just a mutation. Hold firm and watch her grow make sure you ph compliments your substrate. But, wait & c is all I can say Not like you can grab an iron.

if not direct wind to that part , then 100% overwatering. soil needs dry/wet/dry/wet cycles, roots dont get oxygen otherwise. new dont repeat it, think its aftermath of previous. they will grow out those leaves anyways, just leave it, she needs all power now. it will die off naturally.

You got yourself a bit of a genetic mutation from what I can tell, I would worry about it, just keep a eye on the rest of the leaves make sure they all don't do it, otherwise they look healthy and thriving...

I think you have nothing to worry about, the set of leaves after the twisted set look fine. Early leaves can be a bit funky at times.

Yes, looking close. You see the vains in the leafs Well, some of yours didn't grow fully or got stunted by maybe (and that's a big maybe) you did during that nodes birth. The vains are shorter than the other ones. Almost like strings you pull 1 on in a pattern it'll make the surface area twist and turn. Good
