The general consensus is topping is not ideal for autos unless your well versed in topping. If so go for it. Its just a matter of making sure yiurbdo it at a time where the plant wont take much time to recover from it and become stunted.

I've topped autos no problem. If you have the height room don't top, if you don't and need her to stay flat and wide then top her., 🌱👍

If you will top autoflowering plant it may not grow enough before going blooming. You could top photoperiodic plants because you can control the duration of the vegetative period.

they stared to flower and bud later then I thought so because I think it was the new light that I got for them wasn't to sure to adjust the dimmer settings too, finely got it dialed in, I think so. other then they stared late they are looking good. I see potential them. 👊👍4 years ago

Hairs earlier than normal after topping, expected?I am getting white hairs all over the plant about a week and a half after topping. (5 1/2 weeks old). 3 weeks in. Fan leaves the size of my hand. Topped today. How long until 2nd topping?Directly planted seeds in organic living soil. These plants are vigorously growing, topped today. By the way things are going I believe that the recovery time will be very short.

When do you start topping? Photoperiods need to LST? Can ya'll just go look at my diary and tell me if my ladies look like they should LOL.When to top or LST? Do these look stunted? I'm super curious about methods for best yield. I'm already worried my girls are leggy (but I've gotten some great advise already to let them rest but also give them bigger pots soon).
